Steven’s story with Vacancy Brewing started on the other side of the bar as a regular customer. After a career pivot during Covid, he joined the team as a bartender, quickly proving himself as both a natural with guests and a fast learner behind the scenes. He even dabbled in brewing before finding his transitioning to the Sales & Distribution Manager, where he helped expand Vacancy’s reach across Austin.
Today, Steven serves as Operations Manager, bringing his vision for the full Vacancy experience to life. From overseeing day to day taproom operations to managing all sales and distribution, he ensures that the same welcoming spirit found in the taproom extends out into the wider community.
When he’s not keeping things running at Vacancy, Steven is likely walking his dog Whiskey, cheering on the South Austin Parakeets at sandlot baseball games, or enjoying pints around town.
